Restore Bootcamp Partition to Macbook Air

I understand that Symantec SSR is not supported for restoring the Windows 7 partition to the bootcamp partition on a Mac, but has anyone done this successfully?

Right now, I'm stuck with the issue that the SSR recovery image created on a USB flash drive is not recognized as bootable by the Mac Air (though it is recognized by a PC).

Anyone know how to create a recovery image on a USB flash drive that a Mac will boot from?
