Hello,
I am helping a UK based charity with their IT infrastructure. They are running 2 Windows 2003 servers and 15 workstation PCs. We have Backup EXEC 10d doing the backups and planning a migration to Windows Server 2008 R2 soon.
Now I found out that they might be eligible for a software donation license of Backup Exec 2012 through Techsoup (or their UK partner CTXchange). But before we register with Techsoup/CTXChang the question came up if the NFR license for Backup Exec 2012 is entitled for a downgrade to Backup Exec 2010 R3. I made some tests with BE 2012 in a test environment and decided that BE 2010 would be better because the person who takes care of the tape changing would not need to learn the completely new desktop design and job configuration in 2012. He is no IT professional.
Any help or information is appreciated.
Thanks in advance
HM
