VM snapshot fail (CVmSnapshotRequestor::SendXML():1654: Error zipping manifests)

Hello

We have a VM where the snapshot fail

In VI Client we see:

The guest OS has reported an error during quiescing. The error code was: 5 The error message was: 'VssSyncStart' operation failed: The device does not recognize the command. (0x80070016)

In the Application event log we see:

Have searched, but have not be able to find anything about this error

Wondered if others had seen it and maybe had a solution

We have tried uninstall/install of vmware tools without success
