I need a solution

Hi All

As per title theres an issue using jnbSA on Solaris and X display back to Windows whereby you cant set focus on a text widget, thus you cant enter any text into that widget. Makes configuring Oracle policies via that route somewhat impossible.

It is covered here, to a degree at least

http://bugs.java.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=7029051

Just wondering about how to go about replacing/switching Java in a safe manner . It worked fine on the previous release, 7.5.0.4.

Ive not yet looked a the jnbSA script in detail, but it is a script... so scope for a bit of hacking.

I've not seen anything doing a search and will log a call to get the formal / approved solution from Symantec in due course if nothing surfaces here.

I have this ver installed

myhost% java -version
java version "1.5.0_24"

but the interface uses this bundled in:

java version "1.7.0_25"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_25-b15)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.25-b01, mixed mode)

Thanks,Jim
