Query on VMWARE NBD Backup Approach

Hello All,

We want to implement VMWARE VADP backup via NBD(via ESXi host) along with use of Netbackup Accelerator for VMWARE feature.

Netbackup version : 7.6.0.1

vCenter version  : 5.5

Master & Media server OS : RHEL 6.4

Network zones : Intranet & DMZ (both intranet & DMZ zone VM's will be deployed in same ESXi cluster)
Network Speed : 10Gig (Converged Environment)

Could some one help me with my queries on this backup method;

Does anybody implemented VMWARE backup via NBD along with Accelearator, if so how are the results?

We would use vcenter for discovery of VM's and fESXi host for data transfer. In this scenario, If Intranet & DMZ zone VM's are hosted in same ESXi host, how the backup happens? Will DMZ zone VM also gets backed up or do we need to enable firewall ports to get the respective VM communicated with master server?

And also let me know any other best practices for NBD approach.
